Last days
Heading through the Kern Canyon road into Bakersfield towards central coast California. 166, 101, 1, all highways I grew up on. It’s nice to be reacquainted with them again.
Day Twenty Six
The end is near.
The original six split ways. We say our farewells. Two head north and four head west. Keep the shiny side up my friends.
We cross into our home state just east of Death Valley. We boldly continue our route right through the heart of Death Valley. At Badwater Basin, my air temperature gauge hits it’s limits around 125 degrees.

Day Twenty Five
As we leave Navajo Lake and begin our ride towards sin city, the heat really picks up. We blast down I-15 in the hottest temperatures yet. Kevin sets us up at a slightly off strip hotel. Its perfect for us, lots of floor space. A good time is had by all. Las Vegas will be our last destination together.
Next up, our final state, California.

Sorry for the delay in posts everyone. I’m still playing catchup. To everyone following our tale, everyone’s in good shape. We’re making our way to Zion National Park and then Lake Mead tonight. I’ll continue to update from previous events to try and catchup.
